Narrative Tenses: (Infinitivos y Gerundios)

Palabras clave: yesterday, last week, once upon a time, in 1999, at that moment.

Uso: Se utilizan para contar una historia o describir eventos en el pasado.

Ejemplo: "I was walking down the street when I saw an old friend. We chatted for a while, and then I realized I had lost my wallet."

Verb Patterns

Verbos comunes: enjoy, like, love, hate, prefer, begin, start, continue

Uso: Se refiere a cómo ciertos verbos son seguidos por otros verbos o estructuras específicas.

Ejemplo: "I enjoy playing tennis." ("Enjoy" seguido por el gerundio "playing.")

Past Continuous

Palabras clave: while, when, as, at 3 PM yesterday, at that time

Uso: Para describir una acción en curso en un momento específico en el pasado.

Ejemplo: "At 3 PM yesterday, I was studying for my exam."

Past Simple

Palabras clave: yesterday, last week, ago, in 2005, once, before.

Uso: Para hablar de acciones completas en el pasado.

Ejemplo: "I visited Paris last summer."

Past Continuous with Past Simple

Palabras clave: when, while, as, during.

Uso: Se utilizan juntos para mostrar una acción en progreso interrumpida por otra acción.

Ejemplo: "I was reading a book when the phone rang."

Past Perfect Simple

Palabras clave: before, after, by the time, already.

Uso: Para expresar que una acción ocurrió antes que otra en el pasado.

Ejemplo: "By the time I arrived, they had already finished dinner."

Verb + to Infinitive

Verbos comunes: want, decide, plan, hope, promise, agree.

Uso: Algunos verbos van seguidos por "to" y un infinitivo.

Ejemplo: "I decided to go to the gym after work."

Verb + Object + to Infinitive

Verbos comunes: encourage, ask, tell, advise, allow, force.

Uso: Algunos verbos requieren un objeto antes del "to" y un infinitivo.

Ejemplo: "She encouraged her children to study hard."

Verb + -ing

Verbos comunes: enjoy, like, dislike, suggest, avoid.
