La Voz Pasiva en Inglés

La voz pasiva es muy frecuente en inglés. Se usa:

• Para resaltar que la acción es más importante que el sujeto que la realiza.
• Cuando no hace falta mencionar al sujeto que realiza la acción, o bien es desconocido, poco importante o no se le quiere nombrar.
• Para evitar una frase activa cuyo sujeto sea they, somebody, nobody…

¿Cómo se Forma?

• Como sujeto se pone el complemento directo de la frase activa.
• A continuación, se pone el verbo TO BE en el mismo tiempo que tenía el verbo principal en la voz activa + el Participio Pasado del mismo verbo.
• Si se quiere nombrar al sujeto/complemento agente de la voz pasiva se utiliza la preposición by (si es pronombre personal se pondrá el pronombre objeto).

Presente simple-pasado simple, pasado simple-past perfect, will-would, present continuous-past continuous, past continuous-past perfect continuous, present perfect-past perfect, present perfect continuous-past perfect continuous, past perfect-past perfect, past perfect continuous- past perfect continuous.

Who: personas, which: Animales y cosas, that:lo mismo, whose: posesión, when: expresiones temporales, where: lugar, why: sustantivos cause y reason, how: way y form, what:Lo que.

Condicionales: 1º tipo: if + present simple + will. 2ºtipo: if + pasado simple + would. 3º tipo: if + past perfect + would have participio.

Smoking is not only an expensive and bad habit for our health but also is something that bothers people in public places, although I also believe that smokers have the right to have a place to smoke in public places.

From my point of view, if smokers had a place to smoke, they would not smoke around non-smokers, therefore there should be public places that allow smokers to smoke quietly without bothering non-smokers, so they could avoid these problems between smokers and passive smokers.

On the other hand, smokers may try to quit smoking because it would be good for their pockets and lungs and so we would all be much better because for example I can´t stand the smoke snuff but unfortunately I´m used to it.

dear ryan
if i were you, i would consider the facts before doing something you might regret later. smoking is dangerous to your health and a very expensive habit. what's more you could have lung cancer.
there are other problems such as difficult when breathins, addiction or dyins younger.

if you are determined to go ahead, then you should smoke less so you will not be affected by nicotine. if you don't get smoking less you should see a doctor to make you a review of your lungs and try to prevent the possible cancer. you could find another occupation to stop thinking about smoking, doing it i very difficult, you need the support of friends and family.

there is a big decision, but if you doit, your body and mind will thank you.

John was a biologist who worked in a small craft business with his wife, but when his wife died, the business lost.
