'Why don't you both stop it?' Valerie's voice said on the phone.

'Well, Dad began it,' Greg answered. 'He called me a baby.'

'And you called him an old man. That wasn't nice.'

Pets:Nowadays people usually hace a pet at home.They often have a cat, a dog or even a turtle.Children usually have fun with them but it gets to a point that they get tired of their own pets and some of them leave their pets on the streets, in a park, in a petrol station...Because it's "too tiring" to look after them every day. But not all pets "end" this way, because other children do look after their pets, feed them and give them love. Firstly consumerism is the act of consuming goods or services, often without consciousness. People are influenced to consume through advertisements made by companies. The difference between consumption and consumerism is that people buy for consumption only what they need. In consumerism people spend everything they have on unnecessary products. People are curious to try just because of advertisements.
Consumer protection is the punishment of persons / companies that violate consumer's rights and the dissemination of these rights to consumers.

Jose  was born in Agost m in 1964, in Orihuela. As a young boy he spent every free minute on the football court. By the time Jose was a teenager, he had become a very good football player. Bur no matter how much Jose practised and trained, there was one thing couldn't change-his height. Jose is only 1.70 metres tall.

John Duncan is a biologist. At the beginning of the story he gets a job with a paint company. His job is to ensure that the chemicals used in the company are safe.
John is widower, and he lives with his two children, 13 years old Andrew, and 16 years old Christine. For two years he has been unemployed, and getting this job makes a difference to both him and his children. The family move into a house by the river, near the paint factory.
